I wanted to inform you that we experienced a fire alarm malfunction earlier today. Although the fire department has been working closely with the Nash County Public Schools maintenance team, the issue has not yet been fully resolved.
As a precaution, we are dismissing students early at 1:30 p.m. Bus riders will be dismissed as soon as the buses arrive on campus to take them home.

Today we celebrated our amazing custodian staff. The work they do daily is greatly appreciated. They are the best in the district. In the aftermath of Hurricane Helene's tragic impact on Western North Carolina, we stand together as a school community to extend our support and compassion to those in need. Donation bins will be placed by the main office, carline area, and media center on October 2nd and items will be collected through the end of next week. Due to the threat of inclement weather, Nash County Public Schools will be closed Friday, Sept. 27. This includes all schools and the central office. Additionally, all athletic activities and events scheduled for Friday have been canceled.
